Buying Guide
There are specific considerations that you need to keep in mind when searching for the right festival lights to suit your needs. Not just any lights you choose will fit the theme you are going for,; you need to understand that.
- Size and type of bulbs: According to this site, there are two types of lights: LED and incandescent. The latter are cheaper and provide a warm look, but break easily and use more power. The LED lights are a low fire risk, cool to the touch, and use less power. However, LED lights are not as bright as the incandescent lights. Both bulb types allow switching from blinking to solid and even patterns that you could manually program.
- Length of string: The length of the string you need for these lights depends on the occasion and size of the event you want to host. If you are decorating a Christmas tree, you will need more string because lots of light is required. However, you will need a short string length when you want to hang lights across the railing or fireplace.
- Spacing and brightness: Most lights have about 4-6 inches spacing between each bulb. You must carefully consider the proper bulb spacing that will work perfectly for the occasion. As stated earlier, incandescent bulbs are brighter than the LED bulbs. When you want the lights to be super bright, you must go for the incandescent bulb lights.
