It can adjust in height up to 19 inches, and they are careful to note that because it will sit beneath the mattress, the clearance it provides above the mattress will be less than 19 inches, all dependent on the thickness of your mattress. They also say that if you are dealing with twin beds or beds that are especially large, you provide extra coverage you can purchase two of these items.

One buyer that we spoke with said that he had purchased this foot tent-bed covering lift because his quilts and blankets had begun to hurt his toes whenever he slept on his back. In response to some other purchasers that complained that the blanket lift bar was not sturdy enough to hold blankets up all night, he says that using some pliers to tighten the wing nuts he was able to make it more secure and have it function the way it was intended.

This reviewer cautioned buyers on the fence about clicking purchase that it is primarily designed to work with mattresses of a standard height. If your mattress is thicker than a standard size, this means that the blanket lift bar will provide less lift above your feet, which means that especially if you have larger feet it's unlikely to provide enough coverage for you to rest comfortably.

Because he suffers from planter fasciitis and wears splints during the night, he needed large clearance and this blanket support product provided it. Other users said that it is an inexpensive, if somewhat flimsy, option that is a little bit difficult to tighten to keep in place.  As well, another buyer critical of this blanket lift product says that for those who have standard to deeper mattress says that it is not going to provide you enough space, so don't even waste your time purchasing it. The final reviewer that we interviewed commented that it is flimsy, can't support more than one blanket at a time, does not adjust, and even after doing some preliminary measurements to ensure that it would work for him, found that he still couldn't get enough space for his feet to rest comfortably throughout the night beneath the blankets.

If you have particularly large feet, this might be the best option for you- with one reviewer saying that the frame can expand up to 31 inches and doesn't wobble or bend at that max-adjusted height.

Indeed, users thought it was a little bit pricey, but after having used other blanket lift bars that just didn't fit the bill because they were too flimsy or didn't provide enough space for their feet to be pain-free, that this one did the job effectively.
